ARTIST/ART TEACHER INTRO

Welcome to Fine Art Atelier! I am Tirtha Sankar Bharadwaj, an artist and art teacher driven by a passion for creativity and the transformative power of art. My journey in the arts has been a fulfilling exploration of self-expression, storytelling, and cultural connection. Through my work, I strive to capture the vibrant interplay of color, form, and emotion, creating pieces that resonate deeply with viewers.

My Artistic Style

My artistic style is a fusion of realism, impressionism and illustration, blending vivid colors, intricate textures, and dynamic compositions to bring life to my subjects. Drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of Northeast India and the nuances of everyday life, my work often reflects themes of nature, culture, and human emotion. Whether it’s a detailed portrait, an evocative landscape, or an abstract exploration, my art seeks to tell stories that inspire reflection and connection.

COURSE CONTENT FOR CHILDREN (PP1 to Seventh Year)

Primary Art Groups (PP1, PP2, PP3) – Beginners (Ages 6–10)

Objective: To introduce children to the basics of art, nurture creativity, and develop foundational skills.
Core Content:
1. Drawing Basics:
  - Lines, shapes, patterns, and textures.
  - Simple observational drawing (objects, fruits, and toys).
2. Color Theory:
  - Primary and secondary colors.
  - Color mixing and application using crayons, watercolors, and poster colors.
3. Art Exploration:
  - Finger painting, collages, and clay modeling.
  - Exploring nature as inspiration (flowers, animals, landscapes).
4. Art History (Simplified):
  - Introduction to famous artists like Van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, and Frida Kahlo.
  - Storytelling through paintings.

Intermediate Levels (PRI, First Year) – Ages 11–14

Objective: To develop stronger skills in observation, technique, and creative thinking.
Core Content:
1. Advanced Drawing:
  - Perspective (1-point, 2-point).
  - Still life (bottles, fruits, fabrics).
  - Human figure basics using proportions and gestures.
2. Medium Exploration:
  - Watercolors, acrylics, and oil pastels.
  - Experimenting with pen and ink for texture and detailing.
3. Art Theory:
  - Warm and cool colors, light and shadow, and basic composition.
  - Balance, rhythm, and harmony in art.
4. Art History:
  - Renaissance art and Impressionism.
  - Stories of artists like Claude Monet, Michelangelo, and Raja Ravi Varma.

Advanced Levels (Second to Fourth Year) – Ages 15–18

Objective: To introduce representational realism, impressionism, and personal style development.
Core Content:
1. Realistic Drawing:
  - Anatomy and life drawing (hands, feet, and portraiture).
  - Rendering textures like wood, fabric, and glass.
2. Painting Techniques:
  - Layering and glazing with oils.
  - Bold strokes and color impressions in acrylics.
3. Introduction to Storytelling:
  - Basics of narrative art and illustration.
  - Creating character designs and story-driven sketches.
4. Art Theory & History:
  - Golden Age of Illustration (Norman Rockwell, N.C. Wyeth).
  - Artistic movements: Baroque, Neoclassicism, and Romanticism.

Graduation and Post-Graduation (Fifth to Seventh Year)

Fifth Year (Visharad – Graduation Equivalent):
1. Advanced representational realism (portraiture, landscapes, still life).
2. Conceptual painting and symbolic art.
3. Golden Age Illustration techniques (storyboarding and large compositions).
4. Art history: Surrealism, Modern Art, and Indian Contemporary Art.
5. Introduction to digital painting:
  - Basics of software (Photoshop, Procreate).
  - Digital brushes and layering techniques.
Sixth and Seventh Year (Ratnamani – Master’s Equivalent):
1. Mastery of mediums: oil, acrylics, gouache, and digital tools.
2. Advanced storytelling and concept art for films, games, and books.
3. Creating a cohesive art portfolio.
4. Art theory: Advanced color theory, composition, and symbolism.
5. Deep dive into art history: From Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood to contemporary illustration giants.
